I was sorely disappointed in the Denver Newspaper Agency this weekend.
Does anyone else think that the Denver Post and/or Rocky Mountain News should have provided a brief overview of all the candidates in today's municipal elections?
I realize that there are 30 candidates for public office. But really - is it less important than providing scrupulously-researched and thoughtful reviews of the 66 teams in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, as offered each year?
Then they complain that this election is boring. Gimme a break.
Nice job, media. Thanks for illuminating the very real (and pressing) concerns of city candidates and voters.

No, they should not have.
April 28-29 is way too late.
Some of us received our ballots on April 6th and voted that day.
The papers should have provided complete profiles on March 31 and April 1st.
Everyone needs to realize that the election is 1/3 over the day after ballots are mailed.
Well, I actually agree with you. This was something that they SHOULD HAVE done long ago.
I was prepared for them to do the stupid thing and put such profiles in belatedly,w which as you remark would have been far too late.
What I was not prepared for was for them to do NOTHING.
Did you see an article about the election?
Did they ever put together the big showcase of municipal elections and candidates?
Maybe they did and I missed it. But the experience of this weekend suggests it that they weren't just late to the table... they just didn't do it at all.
That's your media, ladies and gentlemen. Why don't you rush out and get a subscription?
